Station Nodes power MeMusic’s DeFi Vision — here’s how

When MeMusic started its research and development for Stations — the purpose of leading blockchain mass adoption while solving the issues of the music/audio industry. There were clear evidences of a platform that can provide a traditional user experience for creators and users while allowing them to experience an innovative reward system.

Stations is our pilot platform that allow for creators to establish an online presence, interact with fans, and monetize their content. If you have ever streamed on Twitter Spaces or Clubhouse, now start earning with Stations instead of the traditional platforms!

This week, we announced the arrival of Station Nodes. Station Nodes is our invitation to the community to participate and contribute to the establishment of AudioFi while earning rewards generated! The Nodes, however are not just for earning rewards, but also essential in the process of implementing DeFi into the music / audio industry

DeFi in the Music/Audio Space

When people think of DeFi, users might think of yield farming by supplying liquidity to trading pools or loan markets. However, what about earning tokens based on traditional yields? The interest in finding for such cases is often abbreviated as ‘RWA’ — Real World Assets. Users seek for traditional assets that could be tokenized to help yield earnings. Considered one of the high-yielding assets, music is an attractive asset to be considered as a RWA.

Within Q2 of 2024, MeMusic will enable music-based decentralized finance. In this process, Station Nodes are crucial in the process as the nodes will participate in decentralized governance and earn contribution rewards. Earning Rewards with Station Nodes

If you are not already aware of the benefits of owning a Station Node, here are some of the few ways to earn rewards!

Token Mining — Station Node Holders will receive daily token rewards* for contributing to the growth of the ecosystem. There is a total of 40% of MeMusic tokens allocated for the Node Holders to mine.

Airdrop Rewards — Station Node Holders are the first to receive any airdrop rewards that takes place with the MeMusic community. Whether it be tokens or NFTs, the Node Holders are prioritized in receiving the airdrops.

Referral Rewards — On Stations, creators can earn from users donating or purchasing content. Users can use a native digital currency* to perform such action. To understand the market size of such content platforms, Station’s competitor in South Korea currently generates ~400M in annual revenue and Twitch generates ~$2.8 billion in annual revenue. Node Holders can have a unique referral code that provides a cashback rewards for users purchasing and spending Bubbles.
