As we approach 2024, MeMusic is pleased to announce Station Nodes. A NFT collection that is designed to contribute to the MeMusic ecosystem, reap rewards as the ecosystem grows, and unlock your passive income.
What is Stations?
Before we begin with Station Nodes, if this your first time with MeMusic you may ask, what is Stations? To begin with, Stations is a blockchain-based all-in-one music content platform that features social-audio and content commerce. Stations allow content creators to build their own communities, monetize content, and establish AudioFi. Read about our beta here.
Social Audio: If you have ever used Clubhouse or often use Twitter Spaces to tune into AMAs or verbal discussions, we classify such service as a social audio application. On Stations, users will be able to host live audio rooms to host podcasts, AMAs, or streaming sessions like Twitch.
Content Commerce: Stations also allow for users to utilize Stations as a content commerce platform. Users can monetize their audio content such as tracks, recordings, or podcast on the platform. Within the traditional market, imagine Bandcamp and within the cryptocurrency market take Opensea as an example. On Stations, users can sell their content and accept payments or mint their content as NFTs on Opensea with a 1-click process.
What are Station Nodes?
Station Nodes are an essential key to empowering the Stations. The Nodes function to enhance the MeMusic ecosystem, but also specifically the Stations platform. Station Nodes are NFTs that do not require users’ software or computing power. These NFTs can generate passive/active income for the holders while contributing to MeMusic. Below, we dive into the benefits, utilities, and scarcity of the Station Nodes.
Utilities:
Decentralized Label — Station Node Holders are to function as a decentralized MCN[Media Content Network]. Node holders can partner with users and recruit them as artists to provide services in exchange for a split in revenue. Learn more here.
Decentralized Finance — MeMusic aims to introduce several different decentralized finance options for Music NFTs within Q1-Q2 of 2024. Node Holders are a crucial component for the platform to provide DeFi services such as RWA-backed loans. Amongst the various use cases, for instance Node holders will participate in decentralized governance for deciding on asset collaterization and opening liquidity pools. Click here to learn more.
Blockchain Rewards — Yes, blockchain rewards. To ensure a frictionless user experience within all products provided by MeMusic, we are to release a special layer designed for the audio/music industry.
Rewards:
Token Mining — Station Node Holders will receive daily token rewards* for contributing to the growth of the ecosystem. There is a total of 40% of MeMusic tokens allocated for the Node Holders to mine.
Airdrop Rewards — Station Node Holders are the first to receive any airdrop rewards that takes place with the MeMusic community. Whether it be tokens or NFTs, the Node Holders are prioritized in receiving the airdrops.
Referral Rewards —On Stations, creators can earn from users donating or purchasing content. Users can use a native digital currency* to perform such action. To understand the market size of such content platforms, Station’s competitor in South Korea currently generates ~400M in annual revenue and Twitch generates ~$2.8 billion in annual revenue. Node Holders can have a unique referral code that provides a cashback rewards for users purchasing and spending Bubbles.
- The native digital currency used on Stations is Bubbles which is not a cryptocurrency. Tokenized assets on the platform can be purchased using cryptocurrencies, but for a seamless transition from traditional platforms, Stations is to provide a digital currency like Twitch Bits native to the platform.
